“In these unprecedented times, there is yearning for those far off places and to breathe a new air. That’s for the future, but, in the meantime, I can escape and revel in the colour and space of the subject. The Golden Road is an idea I wish to develop and these are the first four studies”
Keith Byres is a portrait and Landscape artist, based in Aberdeen. He studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee and Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen and is Studio Rep at Wasps Studios Langstane Aberdeen.
He has exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy, Royal Glasgow Institute, Aberdeen Artists Society, Paisley Arts Institute and was a finalist at the inaugural Scottish Portrait Awards.
He has collaborated in the Northern Realist exhibition, with Martin Stevenson in Duff House, Banff, a one man show “Somewhere beyond the Aird” in Under the Hammer, Aberdeen and taken part Window exhibitions in the Rendezvous Gallery.
